With the dog pound moving to the new location Animal Empowerment League is offering free adoptions for the adoptable, unclaimed pound dogs through September 26th 2026. Please see their post for specific information.

IT'S MOVING WEEK! Free adoptions demonstrate a commitment to animal welfare; the more dogs we can move into homes the less they have to experience the stress of the move!
~Studies have shown that fee-waived adoptions receive the same level of veterinary care and have similar retention rates as those adopted with fees.
~Waiving fees can expedite the adoption process, reducing the length of stay for animals in shelters and alleviating overcrowding.
~Adopters will still be subject to the same screening and provided the same support as full-price adoptions.
