Among the 131 Airmen who took part in the 5 CES 96-hour Bivouac in Fargo were three of our own firefighters: SrA Morgan, SrA Granda, and A1C Danielian.

They spent the week building firefighting proficiency, executing CDDAR and TCCC drills, supporting MAAS installation, and contributing to Airfield Damage Repair operations alongside fellow engineers.

This is exactly what ACE looks like—multi-capable Airmen adapting, integrating, and delivering wherever the mission requires.

We are proud of these firefighters and the professionalism they displayed throughout the exercise.

A special shoutout to TSgt Prahald, who developed and managed the Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) that drove training for 131 participants across 13 AFSCs. His behind-the-scenes work helped make the entire exercise a success.

Outstanding work by all involved.

Thanks for coming!

🎉 **Happy Last Day of School, Minot Public Schools!** 📚🎓

Congratulations to all the students, teachers, and staff on officially wrapping up the academic year! Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and it is time for a well-deserved summer break.

As we kick off the season of backyard barbecues, camping, and outdoor fun, the Minot AFB Fire Department wants to ensure everyone stays safe. Here are a few essential summer fire safety tips to keep in mind:

🔥 **Grill with Caution:**
Always place your grill well away from your home, deck railings, and out from under eaves or overhanging branches. Never leave a lit grill unattended, and establish a 3-foot "safe zone" around the grill to keep children and pets safe.

⛺ **Campfire & Fire Pit Safety:**
Keep campfires small, manageable, and away from dry grass or leaves. Always have a hose or bucket of water nearby. Before leaving or going to sleep, extinguish the fire completely—drown the ashes with water, stir, and make sure everything is cold to the touch.

🎆 **Fireworks Awareness:**
Leave the big displays to the professionals! If you are using legal consumer fireworks, keep a bucket of water or a garden hose ready in case of a fire or mishap. Never allow young children to play with or ignite fireworks, including sparklers, which can reach extremely high temperatures.

Have a fantastic, fun, and safe summer, Minot! ☀️🚒

Rescue Technician Course Complete!

We are proud to announce the successful completion of a three-week Rescue Technician Course! Ten firefighters from Minot Air Force Base and two firefighters from Grand Forks Air Force Base have earned their Rescue Technician I Certifications — a significant achievement representing countless hours of rigorous training and dedication.

Over the course of three weeks, our firefighters trained extensively in:
Mechanical Advantage
Anchoring Systems
High Angle Rescue
Low Angle Rescue
Confined Space Rescue
Patient Packaging

This level of training directly enhances our ability to respond to any technical rescue emergency on the installation or surrounding communities.

We extend our most sincere gratitude to TSgt Marker and MSgt Tarkington, who flew across the Pacific from Guam to share their expertise and lead this outstanding course. Your knowledge and dedication to this mission did not go unnoticed — thank you!
