ATTENTION: You might hear the Tornado Siren go off (possibly more than one time) today. That is because the siren company is currently working on the siren that was going off on Tuesday. Please don't be too alarmed at the alarm when it sounds. It's getting fixed! Please share!

Neighbors, please make note:

The City of Minonk will no longer be doing leaf pick-up. If you're wanting to do something with your leaves, you can bag them in paper bags and take them to the City's brush pile/dump site.

Brush and stick pick-up will still happen on the regular schedule. (The first full week of the month on Tuesday & Wednesday, or the week prior if that Tuesday or Wednesday fall on a holiday.)

Also, please remember: if you have a contractor cut down a tree, you are responsible for your own removal.

FOLKS, WE'RE AWARE THAT ONE OF THE TORNADO SIRENS IS GOING OFF. We're looking into WHY.

There's nothing going on that we know of. Sorry for any unease or panic you're feeling, we're looking into why this happened.

Attention parents of kiddos that want to play JFL Football!
There will be a JFL sign up event this Sunday, March 22 at the Rutland Legion from 11am - 1pm. This is open to kiddos entering 1st grade, through 8th grade.

Neighbors! Good Morning!

It's windy today, so if your garbage and recycle cans are tipped over on the curb, before you head out to work or school, please set them back up so the Republic Services Crew doesn't have to do it. Having to stop and set the cans back upright really adds extra time to their routine.

Hi Neighbors,

Don't forget, as the weather gets nicer, and you start dusting the cobwebs off of your non-highway vehicles, you have to have a 2026 sticker! They're good for 2026, they're still $50 (cash, check or money order), and you still need to have a valid driver's license and current insurance. Stop up at City Hall and get your 2026 sticker today!
