Out of an abundance of caution, there will be no school for VOA HS students on 1/8 or 1/9, due to safety concerns related to incidents around the city yesterday. School will resume 1/12. We value our diverse community and want every single person to be safe.

Launching our VOA HS canoe today at Nokomis Beach. Over a year of student work went into creating this from scratch and getting it into the water today feels so good.

The kick-off to the new school year brings lots of hope filled and heartfelt reminders for why our work is so important! MPS contract alternative and district alternative educators, administrators and support professionals gathered at VOA High School on Wednesday to learn and collaborate. It’s going to be the best year ever and we are ready for students to come through the doors and bring our buildings and communities to life!
