The Cadets of the 25&26 Year are:

MSIII: CDT Goodart

MSII: CDT Eavzan

MSI: CDT Hope

The Cadet of the Year board is the culmination of rigorous competition throughout the year between specially nominated cadets among the underclassmen. In order to qualify, these cadets had to win the competitions for month and semester. For the final board, cadets were graded on warrior skill lanes such as emplacement of a claymore, care under fire, treating a casualty, and evacuation of a casualty. With additional physical exercise and stress implemented, the cadets then immediately executed a formal inspection and board where they recited numerous creeds, answered questions pertaining to the soldiering profession, and an evaluation of their developmental strategies of their mentees.

Staff Spotlight!

This weeks staff spotlight is CDT Budd and he is our STC Commander.

Hello Gopher Battalion.

My name is Theodore Budd, and I am your STC Commander this semester. In the spring, I will be commissioned as an active duty engineer officer. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors. I love to go camping, backpacking, and alpine skiing. I also enjoy attending Gopher football and hockey games. During my time in ROTC, I have been able to participate in many great events, such as the Norwegian Foot March, Ranger Challenge, Northern Warfare Challenge, and the Bataan Death March. A piece of advice I have for younger cadets would be to make the most of your time in ROTC, branch out, and challenge yourself. Don’t waste the opportunity in front of you because it’s over in an instant.
