Field Regina Northrop Neighborhood Group

Field Regina Northrop Neighborhood Group The nonprofit neighborhood organization for Field, Regina and Northrop in South Minneapolis. You are welcome in FRN!

The Field Regina Northrop Neighborhood Group (FRNNG) is the recognized neighborhood organization for three neighborhoods in south Minneapolis—Field, Regina and Northrop. These three neighborhoods encompass the area bounded by Second Avenue South and Cedar Avenue, East 42nd Street and Minnehaha Creek (map). Each of these neighborhoods was named for a local school—Field and Northrop public elementar

y schools, which are still in operation, and Regina, a parochial school which now houses PICA Head Start and La Creche Early Childhood Center. FRNNG welcomes the participation of neighborhood residents, businesses, and property owners. FRNNG Vision Statement

We see the Field, Regina and Northrop Neighborhoods as a continued vital, stable part of the city of Minneapolis where people of diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds live in harmony and mutual support: a community with internal and external communication systems that enable its residents to work together to preserve positive features of our neighborhood and the city. We see a community that shares a faith in our neighborhood and believes that by working together we can effect change. We see a community with safe streets, quality schools, stable and well-maintained housing, supportive commercial businesses, and parks and recreational facilities that can be enjoyed by all segments of the community.

2nd Ave Soundwall Prune-a-thon
Saturday June 6 9-11 am
Meet at 49th St & 2nd Ave

The FRNNG Soundwall Project continues! The best way to refresh a landscape is to cut out and prune back dead limbs and shrubbery to let new growth thrive. This is our task for Saturday.

Bring gloves and pruning cutters of your choice-larger limbs will be piled for pickup and bags will be provided for smaller cuttings.

Come when you can-leave when you need to!
