Today is National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR).

We remember and honor Indigenous relatives whose lives were stolen by violence and injustice. Their stories deserve to be known, and their memory deserves to be carried forward. We stand with the loved ones, communities, and Tribal Nations who live with this loss every day and continue to seek truth, justice, and healing with unrelenting strength.

Educating ourselves and spreading awareness about the challenges Indigenous communities and victim-survivors face is one way to support this work.
