Twenty-five years have passed, but we will never forget.

Today, we remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless families, friends, and communities forever changed by that day.

We especially honor the 343 firefighters, 60 police officers, and other first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice while running toward danger to help others.

We remember their courage.
We remember their sacrifice.
We remember the families they left behind.
And we remember the spirit of service that brought so many together in the days that followed.

From one fire department to another, we stand with our brothers and sisters who gave everything that day.

25 years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget those we lost.

Our next-to-last rabies clinic of 2026 will be held Saturday, September 26 at Queensbury Community Center, 742 Bay Road. It will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

We are requiring registration for our rabies clinics this year, and registration will open the third week of September for this clinic. We will announce when registration is available, and post a link for online registration.

There is no charge, but a donation of $10 is suggested to help cover our costs.

This clinic is open to the first 100 people to register. You can register through the link on this webpage when registration opens: https://www.warrencountyny.gov/healthservices.

Is your child interested in becoming a firefighter?

If you have a child who is interested in fire trucks, firefighting, or learning what it takes to serve their community, our Junior Firefighter Program may be a great opportunity!

The program gives young people the chance to learn about the fire service, develop valuable skills, build confidence, and become part of a team. It’s a great way to meet new friends, learn responsibility, and explore what being a firefighter is all about.

Whether they’ve always dreamed of riding on a fire truck or are simply curious about the fire service, we’d love to help them get started!

Parents: If your child is interested in joining, send us a message or reach out at the contact information listed below for more information about the program and how to get involved.

Doug was an instructor and mentor to many from our department to many departments throughout the state. This is a very big loss for the fire service. Please keep the Glens Falls Fire Department, and family and friends of Doug in your thoughts during this difficult time.

View Douglas Lee Holl's obituary, contribute to their memorial, see their funeral service details, and more.

This past Monday, our members conducted another Pump Operations drill to continue building and sharpening the skills needed to operate our apparatus safely and effectively in an emergency.

Regular training helps ensure our firefighters are prepared to establish a reliable water supply, operate pump systems efficiently, and respond with confidence during an emergent situation.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to train and continue strengthening the capabilities our department. Training today means a safer, more effective response tomorrow.

We are always looking for volunteers who are looking to serve their community and surround communities! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, visit our website or stop by our Fire House any Monday night at 7:00 pm.
