Twenty-five years have passed, but we will never forget.
Today, we remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless families, friends, and communities forever changed by that day.
We especially honor the 343 firefighters, 60 police officers, and other first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice while running toward danger to help others.
We remember their courage.
We remember their sacrifice.
We remember the families they left behind.
And we remember the spirit of service that brought so many together in the days that followed.
From one fire department to another, we stand with our brothers and sisters who gave everything that day.
25 years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget those we lost.
