☀️💦 CITY POOL UPDATE 💦☀️

Like many cities across the country, Mineral Wells is currently experiencing a lifeguard shortage. While we may have abbreviated pool hours and programs for now, the safety of our patrons will always come first, and we must have full lifeguard coverage anytime the pool is open.

We are actively hiring MORE LIFEGUARDS and will be hosting another certification/training class soon. If you know someone looking for a fun summer job, send them our way! 🛟

Even with limited operations, we are still ready to have an AWESOME summer at the pool filled with fun, sunshine, and great memories. 🌊😎 Thank you for your patience and support as we work to grow our lifeguard team!

Our hearts go out to our entire community during this time.💙

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and in the midst of the damage, this moment says it all 🇺🇸

Our Mineral Wells community is strong, resilient and proud.

Pictured: One of our Mineral Wells Fire & EMS firefighters raising a flag found on the ground near Parker, a symbol that Mineral Wells stands strong.

A confirmed EF-3 tornado impacted our community on the evening of Tuesday, April 28th, leaving a path of destruction and five reported injuries. We are incredibly grateful that none are critical, and our thoughts remain with everyone affected.

To our first responders, City crews, utility teams, and partner agencies, THANK YOU. Your dedication, long hours, and steady leadership are helping our community move forward.

And to everyone showing up, donating, volunteering, and checking on neighbors, you are what makes Mineral Wells resilient and we are so grateful. THANK YOU.

With heavy hearts, we want to let our community know that the City Gym will remain closed through tomorrow (Thursday, 4/30).

This has been a difficult time for our town, and we are committed to standing alongside our neighbors in recovery and care. We appreciate your understanding, patience, and support as we focus on helping where it’s needed most.

Due to the severe storm that impacted our community yesterday, the City Gym will be closed today as we are currently without power.

Our hearts are with everyone in Mineral Wells as we begin to process the damage left behind. The impact of the storm has been deeply felt across our town, and we know many of our neighbors are facing difficult moments right now. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

In times like these, we are reminded of the strength and resilience of our community. We will get through this together—supporting one another, lending a helping hand, and standing united as Mineral Wells recovers and rebuilds.

We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we will provide updates as soon as power is restored and the gym can safely reopen.

It started as a vision… and now it’s time to celebrate 🎉

We’re excited to help spread the word about the Grand Opening of Poston Park Plaza on Thursday, May 7 from 6–8 PM! The project’s donors and development team have put together a great evening with live music from Kolton Moore & The Clever Few, food trucks, games, and a special presentation to officially open the space.

This project has been years in the making and came to life thanks to the generosity and dedication of our donors, including Randy and Misty Nix (land and initial maintenance) and Nancy Richards of the Tartaglino Richards Family Foundation (sculpture), along with the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class #28, and support from the City of Mineral Wells, TIRZ, and the Parks and Recreation Board. We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make this space possible.

Bring your family and friends and come check it out!
