🇺🇸 4th of July Fireworks Reminder 🇺🇸

We are early but as we prepare to celebrate Independence Day, the City of Mineral Wells would like to remind everyone that the discharge of fireworks within the city limits is prohibited by city ordinance.

While fireworks may be discharged in areas outside the city limits where permitted, please remember that doing so is at your own risk. Individuals may be held financially responsible for any property damage, injuries, or costs associated with wildfires caused by the use of fireworks.

With dry conditions and increased fire danger across our area, we encourage everyone to celebrate responsibly and help protect our community, first responders, and natural resources.

Have a safe and enjoyable Independence Day! 🇺🇸🎆

This Memorial Day, Mineral Wells Fire & EMS honors and remembers the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. As we spend time with family and friends this weekend, we encourage everyone to pause and reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and the freedoms made possible by those who gave everything.

Please join us in remembering our fallen heroes and keeping their families in your thoughts today and every day. 🇺🇸

Last week, Mineral Wells Fire/EMS welcomed the Well Engaged: Mineral Wells Civic Academy inaugural class for an evening of hands-on experiences and behind-the-scenes demonstrations 🚒🔥

Participants got to see firsthand how our crews respond, train, and prepare for emergencies in our community every day. From stepping inside an ambulance and spraying a fire hose to operating, and even climbing, the ladder truck, the class had the chance to experience parts of the job most people only see from a distance.

We appreciate everyone who came out ready to learn more about their Fire/EMS Department and the men and women who proudly serve Mineral Wells 24/7. Thank you to our crews for making it such a fun and interactive night! 🚑🚒

Texas A&M Forest Service has raised the Wildland Fire Preparedness Level to Level 3 due to forecasted conditions, including high temperatures, low humidity, and dry vegetation, that are contributing to an elevated fire risk, along with increased resource commitments for prepositioning.

We continue to monitor the situation and stand ready to respond to any requests for assistance.

This past weekend, departments from across the country gathered to observe National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend — a time to honor and remember the brave firefighters who gave their lives in service to others. Their sacrifice serves as a powerful reminder of the risks carried by those who answer the call every day. We remember their dedication, their courage, and the families and departments forever impacted by their loss.

Today, on International Firefighters’ Day, we recognize all firefighters who continue that mission of service. Whether responding to fires, medical emergencies, rescues, disasters, or moments of uncertainty, firefighters stand ready to protect their communities without hesitation. It is a profession built on sacrifice, teamwork, and a deep commitment to helping others on what is often the worst day of their lives.

Today we celebrate the fire service, honor its traditions, and express our gratitude to those who continue to serve — while never forgetting those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
