Today, I had the honor of attending the Village of Valley Stream’s Memorial Day services and parade as our community came together to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Memorial Day is a time for reflection, gratitude, and remembrance. We owe an immeasurable debt to those who gave their lives defending our freedoms, and we must never forget their courage and sacrifice.

Thank you to the Village of Valley Stream, our veterans, community organizations, first responders, and all who participated in today’s meaningful events. It was inspiring to stand alongside so many residents in honoring the true meaning of Memorial Day.

May we continue to keep our fallen heroes and their families in our hearts today and always.

It was a busy and meaningful weekend out in our community.

I stopped by the Robert W. Carbonaro 6th Grade Car Wash fundraiser, attended the New York State Citizens Preparedness Corps training with the Division of Homeland Security, and joined residents at the 516 Day Celebration at Green Acres Mall.

Always great seeing neighbors come together, support one another, and celebrate our community spirit.

Today, I was proud to join Governor Kathy Hochul and Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages in announcing a $10 million investment for the Village of Valley Stream — a transformative commitment that will revitalize our downtown, support local businesses, and improve quality of life for residents.

I want to thank Governor Hochul for her tireless work delivering real resources to communities like ours, and Assemblywoman Solages for her continued partnership and advocacy every step of the way.

Big projects like this happen when leaders show up, stay engaged, and fight for their communities. I’m proud to stand with leaders who are doing exactly that.

The future of Valley Stream is bright, and I look forward to continuing this work together.

I was proud to attend the Nassau County PBA Top Cops Awards, where we recognized the extraordinary bravery, dedication, and service of our law enforcement officers.

It was an honor to stand alongside the honorees and celebrate their commitment to protecting our residents.

Thank you to all of our officers for your service and sacrifice. Nassau County is stronger because of you.

Join me for an upcoming Town Hall at the Lynbrook Public Library on May 20th from 6:00–8:00 PM.

My team and I are committed to making sure residents of District 14—Valley Stream, Lynbrook, and Elmont—have access to the information and resources they need.

I hope to see you there. For more information or to RSVP, please contact my office at 516-571-6214 or [email protected]

Community first!

From planting trees in Lynbrook to a park cleanup in Valley Stream, it was a day rooted in service. I was proud to partner with Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages, Legislator Carrie Solages, and the Diana Sanon Organization for our community health fair, bringing vital resources to residents.

From seed swaps to food trucks and time spent with our VFW members, days like this show the strength of Valley Stream, Lynbrook, and Elmont.

I was proud to join three wonderful businesses in Lynbrook to celebrate their grand openings with ribbon cuttings ceremonies.

Congratulations to EXP Realty, All Fit Physical Therapy, and Francine’s Cakes on this exciting milestone. Each of these businesses brings something special to our community—from supporting families in finding their homes, to helping residents recover and stay healthy, to adding a sweet touch to our local celebrations.

Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and it is always an honor to welcome new and growing establishments to District 14. My team and I wish you continued success and look forward to seeing you thrive here in Lynbrook.

At this past Monday’s full Legislature meeting, I made it clear: Nassau County families need relief now!

The gas tax cap is a straightforward, responsible step we can take now to put money back into the pockets of our residents.

I will always stand up for working families, seniors, commuters, and small businesses, and continue pushing for solutions that ease the financial burden on our communities in Valley Stream, Lynbrook, Elmont, and across Nassau County.
