Today, Nassau County and the world pauses to mark 25 years since the September 11 terrorist attacks on America. We mourn the 3,000 innocent lives that were snatched away in New York City, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. - and renew our commitment to care for all who are still suffering in the aftermath.

Never forget the victims of that horrific day - and may we honor for eternity the memory of the heroic police officers, firefighters, first responders and volunteers who rushed toward unimaginable danger to save others. See less
