The Emerald Society of Wisconsin, Inc. was founded in May 1990 in order to foster and promote Irish Heritage and Culture in the Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Community in Wisconsin. The Emerald Society is a social, fraternal, and cultural organization. The Society is open to all members of the Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice community who are of Irish descent, or who have an interest i

n fostering and furthering that heritage. The Emerald Society of Wisconsin is a CHARTER member of the National Conference of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies, Inc. The Emerald Society logo shows the state of Wisconsin, amid the Claddagh, a symbol of honor and loyalty, the crossed gavel, sword, and key symbolize the three branches of the Criminal Justice System (Law Enforcement, Courts, and Corrections).
