Attention Westmoreland County Voters:
If you want to BANK YOUR VOTE and make sure your vote is safely submitted, you can vote early by going to the Westmoreland County Courthouse Election Bureau and vote right there at the counter. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Saturday-Sunday 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Give yourself an hour just in case there is a line, which I'm sure will be much shorter than the lines will be on election day. :). For counties other than Westmoreland, contact that county's election bureau for their specific times.
Here are some important dates that apply to every county for voting purposes:
1) October 21 is the last day to register to vote, You can do that online at this link https://www.pa.gov/en/services/vote/register-to-vote.html -nowor or by going to a county election bureau or a PennDOT office.
2) October 29th is the last day to apply for a mail in or civilian absentee ballot.
3) All mail in ballots must be at the election bureau by 8:00 PM on election day. I wouldn't take the chance of mailing the ballot iwithin a week or even 10 days of the election. Fill it out, take it to the courthouse and drop it off. That's what I'm going to do.
Pennsylvanians who recently moved, changed their name, or want to change their party affiliation can update their voter registration here.
