This week, members of the Guest House of Milwaukee team were out in the neighborhood, inviting nearby residents to help shape something important—our new Community Advisory Committee.

We believe strong communities are built through listening, collaboration, and shared solutions. That’s why we’re inviting neighbors, stakeholders, and partners to come together to talk about what matters most in our area, and work toward real, actionable change.

Whether it’s safety, services, or strengthening connections, this committee will help ensure that the neighborhood’s voice leads the conversation.

Today, Guest House of Milwaukee is honored to welcome the Milwaukee Continuum of Care (CoC) meeting!

The Milwaukee CoC coordinates community partners to prevent and end homelessness by organizing housing resources, services, and funding for people in need.

It’s inspiring to have so many dedicated partners under one roof, working together to strengthen services and support for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

🥪 Help Us Feed Our Community 🥪

Every single day, we provide 300–400 sandwiches to neighbors and clients experiencing hunger. Right now, our shelves are running low and we need your help to keep showing up for those who rely on us. We’re asking for donations of:

🥜 Peanut butter & jelly sandwiches
🧀 Meat & cheese sandwiches

Great community resource for our seniors...

👉HELP US SHARE WITH OLDER ADULTS IN MILWAUKEE👈

Farmers market season is here, and Hunger Task Force is helping older adults access fresh fruits and veggies. Starting on June 1, we are accepting applications from those living in Milwaukee County to receive $25 in vouchers that can be exchanged for healthy foods at farmers markets and community supported agriculture programs.

Vouchers are available on a first come, first served basis!

Our Guest House of Milwaukee team showed up strong today at the Women United Bruncheon hosted by United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County!

Surrounded by inspiring leaders and changemakers, we’re proud to stand alongside women who are driving change and lifting others up every day.

We’re proud to have been part of an important conversation with students at University School of Milwaukee this past Friday.

Our own Monet’ Johnson-Anderson, Internal Case Manager at Guest House of Milwaukee, joined a panel alongside community partners from Walker's Point Youth & Family Center, Kinship Community Food Center, and Mr Bob's Under the Bridge to speak with ninth graders about the work we do and the complex challenges many individuals in our community face every day.

Engaging young people in these conversations is critical to building understanding, compassion, and future leaders who are committed to making a difference. Thank you to University School of Milwaukee for creating space for these meaningful discussions and to our partners for their continued collaboration in serving our community.
