While the campus has changed over the years, it still offers teenage boys and girls a peaceful and structured environment for renewal, learning, and personal development. We are grateful to the Wisconsin Freemasons (https://wimasons.org/) for their generous donation of four Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to St. Charles Youth and Family Services.

These life-saving devices will help strengthen the safety of our facilities and enhance our ability to respond in the event of a medical emergency. The donation reflects a shared commitment to protecting the health and well-being of the youth, families, staff, and community members who walk through our doors each day.

Community partnerships like this make a meaningful difference, and we are honored by the Wisconsin Freemasons' investment in the safety of those we serve.

Thank you for helping us create a safer, stronger community.

Access to positive, structured activities can make a lasting difference in a young person’s life.

Thanks to a $10,000 grant from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, St. Charles Youth and Family Services will be able to expand youth recreation opportunities, including kickboxing, basketball camps, and community recreation center memberships!

These experiences help build confidence, strengthen social connections, and provide healthy outlets for growth.

We are very grateful for the investment in the youth that will enable them to develop long-term, health-focused habits!

This past week, we had the opportunity to bring families together for our Treatment Residential Program's Spring Celebration!

The event was about celebrating our residential youth and their support systems -- there were games, prizes, and a provided meal!

At the end of the event, our Youth received a hand-crafted Easter basket filled with goodies.

We’re proud of our residential youth, and always excited to create moments to celebrate their success!

While the dithering Wisconsin weather can’t decide if it’s still Winter or Spring, youth in St. Charles’ Residential Treatment Program are preparing for this year’s Garden of Hope.

Inside one of the classrooms, an indoor propagation station has been set up to create controlled growing environments where seeds can successfully sprout. Using seed-start trays, humidity domes, controlled soil compositions, and special grow lights, residential youth are learning the science behind germination.

During Earth Day on April 22, students and staff will transfer the plants to the outdoor plant beds to kick-off the new season of the Garden of Hope!

To celebrate Black History Month, St. Charles’ Residential Treatment Program was proud to host a special gallery walk to commemorate prominent Black Americans throughout history.

Our residential youth worked hard to research and create trifold presentations for Black civil rights leaders, artists, scientists, and innovators that pioneered change.

Families, community members, and St. Charles staff were invited to walk through the gallery and listen to the presentations that the residential youth procured for each of their historical figures.

Following the gallery walk, guests were treated to a soul-food lunch organized by our wonderful residential treatment staff.

We are proud of the confidence, dedication, and effort that our youth put forth, and the staff that supported them!

For more than a century, St. Charles Youth and Family Services has supported the Milwaukee community, helping youth, adults, and families navigate complex challenges and work toward stability, healing, and long-term success.

While our presence on social media has been quiet, our work has never stopped. Every day, our agency delivers trauma-informed, evidence-based services that address education and employment barriers, mental health, behavioral health, and basic needs that remain grounded in dignity, respect, and partnership.

As we begin to redevelop our presence on Facebook, we look forward to sharing more about our programs, events, and collaborations that make our work possible.
