Children's Library International (CLI)

Children's Library International (CLI) Children's Library International builds a new vision of hope, one library and project at a time to help promote education and health. I. II. III. IV.

LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

This is the central objective around which all else turns--to build library facilities and completely furnished, staff, and stock them -with books and computer capabilities. Each library is a flagship in the district of the province it serves, with small satellite library outlets and facilities to be built new or outfitted in existing structures and institutions T

hese are LIBRARY AND LEARNING CENTER SYSTEMS to be built inch-by-inch, step by step, but only with your help. LEARNING CENTER PROGRAMS

Development of usages of the Libraries as Learning Centers beyond the traditional book repository is the most significant part of our work. With the advice and support of local officials, professional and trade people, businesses, companies, and donations we continue to expand library use through an aside army of services, seminars, training courses, presentations in cooperation with other educational providers, government agencies and cultural organizations. ASSOCIATION WITH AND SUPPORT FOR INSTITUTIONS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRIES

In the course of soliciting support for the construction, administration and development of the library systems, opportunities to work with other types of institutions will be encouraged and acted upon, to include working with colleges, universities, trade schools and professional schools, such as law and medicine. All require special types of library resources and expertise, and offer the possibility for international cooperation with donors in the USA. We will make the most of these charities to improve the futures of Vietnam and Laos. CHILDREN'S LIBRARY INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER TRAVEL PROGRAM"

This is an opportunity for Americans traveling to Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, China...to engage in meaningful projects. They will be introduced to and welcomed by local officials, teachers, and citizens, at our library & the school officials at each institution with which these libraries are associated, will arrange for travelers to participate in cultural and educational activities with students and people from the community.

T-shirt orders/donations close at midnight EST tonight! Thanks so much for everyone's support! Can't wait to see photos on 9/11!

Many have asked, so here is the story behind the shirt...

Glenn loved his t-shirts, but his ultimate favorite was his "I ❤️. History" shirt with Abraham Lincoln's signature underneath. He pretty much wore it everywhere he traveled, and still wears it today. The text on the front of the shirt is a spin off on that replacing Abe's signature with the quote from the pendent he always wore, "memento vivere", meaning remember to live.

Glenn was a passionate patriot who honored our country and all who have and continue to serve. He also truly believed he was part pirate, and while I was fortunate to have been able to call him co-pilot (from our movie, Up in the AIr), in reality he was a co-pilot to anyone and everyone in need. The sailboat image is the tattoo we each got last summer as according to Glenn, "rings can be removed, but tattoo's last forever." Finally the quote was what Glenn would say to me each time I left to go running. When I returned home he'd ask, "Was it a wind or ass day?" Seemed inappropriately appropriate for a 5k in his honor.

No matter where you are in the world, please take 2 minutes to pause politics and make PEACE go viral by voting for Linda Garrison Ragsdale!
Voting ends today-please vote & share!
Thank you for your support!

Peace is created by the collaboration of talents and skills of many people. Balance is achieved when people work as a team, lifting an extra load for one another when one is falling short. I want to thank the people who reached out for me, who’ve always reached out for me, and helped me bring peace, and the ideas of peace into so many classes, classrooms, groups and gatherings of all kinds and all ages.
I am recently being considered for an award and I am horrible at asking for favors. But I’m learning to ask. And I’m in tears of joy with the people who stepped up and out for me when I fell back. I only found out today I should be soliciting for votes, since voting ends tomorrow.
This award honors women, and would give peace a bigger stage to reach even more people. It’s all about putting peace in the foreground of positive change.
I’ll post the link in the comments, and if you feel moved, please vote for any of these amazing women. (Perhaps me?) I’m in the Breaking the glass ceiling award, (and when you read the bio, you might learn some unknown facts!)
But this is a note about peace, gratitude, friendship and- well you know- peace dragons!
❤️

Please vote and share for peace! Open internationally! Thank you!!
