T-shirt orders/donations close at midnight EST tonight! Thanks so much for everyone's support! Can't wait to see photos on 9/11!
Many have asked, so here is the story behind the shirt...
Glenn loved his t-shirts, but his ultimate favorite was his "I ❤️. History" shirt with Abraham Lincoln's signature underneath. He pretty much wore it everywhere he traveled, and still wears it today. The text on the front of the shirt is a spin off on that replacing Abe's signature with the quote from the pendent he always wore, "memento vivere", meaning remember to live.
Glenn was a passionate patriot who honored our country and all who have and continue to serve. He also truly believed he was part pirate, and while I was fortunate to have been able to call him co-pilot (from our movie, Up in the AIr), in reality he was a co-pilot to anyone and everyone in need. The sailboat image is the tattoo we each got last summer as according to Glenn, "rings can be removed, but tattoo's last forever." Finally the quote was what Glenn would say to me each time I left to go running. When I returned home he'd ask, "Was it a wind or ass day?" Seemed inappropriately appropriate for a 5k in his honor.
