We're looking for a few items to help support the women at Meta House, including:

-Bolsters for group activities
-Women's T-shirts
-Leggings
-Socks
-Sports bras
-Underwear

All clothing donations must be brand new, please.

Some of these items are available on our Amazon Wish List, while others can be purchased separately and shipped directly to Meta House.

What happens when someone involved in the criminal justice system is unable to understand the legal proceedings against them?

Join the Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force for an important community conversation about Wisconsin’s legal competency crisis and its impact on individuals living with mental health conditions and cognitive disabilities.

Hear perspectives from the defense, judiciary, and prosecution as panelists explore the challenges within the current system, the human impact, and opportunities for meaningful change.

We’re excited to recognize Chris for the dedication, positivity and reliability he brings to Meta House every day, and to congratulate him on his well-deserved new supervisory role within our Maintenance team!

From keeping up with the day-to-day needs of our campus to playing a huge role in the effort behind our recent move, Chris is always ready to step in and help. He’s responsive, hardworking and, no matter what comes up, approaches his work and his coworkers with genuine kindness.

A huge thank you to Sunbeam Kids, Inc. for donating 42 “Birthday Party in a Bag” kits for Meta House families!

We’re so grateful to have Sunbeam Kids as part of our community and for the joy these kits will bring to children and families we serve.

Sometimes, a few words can reach someone exactly when they need them.

Messages of Hope is a growing community art installation at Meta House, created from words of hope, encouragement, strength, and kindness shared by our clients, staff, families, supporters, and community.

Each message will become part of an installation at our new campus, a collection of reminders for the women and families who walk through our doors that they are supported, believed in, and never alone in their journey.

And this is just the beginning. We’ll continue collecting Messages of Hope at events, in our community, and online so the installation can keep growing alongside Meta House.

We’d love for you to be part of it!

Recovery is worth celebrating, and we’re proud to stand alongside Wisconsin's Recovery community at this year’s Rally for Recovery in Madison!

Stop by and say hello to the Meta House team! We’ll be there connecting with the community, sharing resources, and celebrating the strength, hope, and possibility of recovery.

The day will include recovery speakers, resource tables, naloxone training, wellness and kids activities, music and dancing, an open mic, free pizza and refreshments, and more.

Whether you’re in recovery, supporting someone you love, or simply want to stand with Wisconsin’s recovery community, we hope to see you there!

A Grand Opening. A New Beginning.

Last Friday, we officially opened the doors to Meta House’s new campus, and we are still over the moon with gratitude.

We were honored to mark this milestone alongside Mayor Cavalier Johnson, the Honorable Judge Ashley, Meg Kurlinski, Valerie P. Vidal, Sarah Koehn, and Meta House graduate Missy, whose story was a powerful reminder of exactly why this work, and this moment, matters.

To our board members, sponsors, donors, community partners, supporters, staff, and everyone who celebrated with us, whether in person or in spirit: thank you.

This Grand Opening represents so much more than a new building.

It represents a chance for thousands of women and children to access expanded care, more services, and the support they need to build healthier, stronger futures together. It's a chance for Meta House to serve more families, remove more barriers to treatment, and continue building a community where recovery is possible.

The ribbon has been cut. The doors are open. And this is only the beginning.

We are profoundly grateful to everyone who helped bring us here, and we cannot wait to see what becomes possible within these walls.
