Nancy Kenok joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee Graduation Plus College Access & Success Services in July of 2015 as a Program Coordinator for the Sponsor-A-Scholar Program. Before her role in Graduation Plus, Nancy served as the Program Administrator for Pathways to College Milwaukee at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Nancy is an alumni member of AmeriCorps, having served two full-time terms with City Year Milwaukee and College Possible Milwaukee. Nancy is the first in her family to graduate from high school and college. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with minors in Latin American Studies, Psychology, and Spanish Language Certification from Northern Michigan University as a McNair and Gilman Scholar. While at NMU, Nancy had the opportunity to serve as Resident Director for the Upward Bound Program, a teaching assistant for the First-Year Experience Office, and teach English abroad in Honduras. She also earned her Master of Science degree in Cultural Foundations of Education and Community Engagement at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in May 2018.
Nancy currently serves as Director of High School operations for the Graduation Plus College Access & Success Program at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. Nancy takes pride in her career in the college access and success field because it allows her to be the role model for our youth that she once needed when she was younger. The college process can be daunting and stressful for first-generation college students, but Nancy knows firsthand that a degree IS possible and life-altering with the right support. She is the proud mother of a two-year-old and a three-year-old. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and being outdoors.
