Nice Foundation, Inc. This mentor has the responsibility of providing guidance and support for the mentee (details of mentoring responsibilities are defined in the mentor contract).

Incentives program used as a means for underserved areas to recruit and retain talent, promote mentorship in underserved areas, with the goal of building community infrastructure. Pay it Forward Incentive Resources (PiFIR)
NFI hypothesizes that PiFIR encourages leadership by assisting engaged careerists and key individuals investing in the development of underserved areas. The financial incentive

will be paid in return for the individual committing to providing mentorship (to a high school student) and the organization in which the individual works (incorporates an internship program for college students with an emphasis on community service or leadership development). NFI’s PiFIR works in two-fold: 1) All NFI Program Participant’s must mentor a high school aged member from an underserved community for no less than four years. In order for NFI participant to receive the benefit of the selected incentives, the mentor must serve in a leadership capacity (as documented in is/her job description) with no less than 2 years of supervisory/management experience. 2)

The NFI Program Participant’s Agency must establish or have established a formal internship program. The intern designated under the NFI Program Participant must be a college student (attending an accredited four-year college), recent college graduate, or early careerist on a leadership career track. Interns’ outside of this designation maybe considered for selection with a letter of intent to intern (a one page written description, explaining rationale for interning outside of the scope). As this is actualized, NFI engages into a “NFI Engagement Contract” with the Participant (for exchange of the above services) and will pay the amount of the applicable outstanding loan/debt balance.

As we celebrate Black History Month, we can take pride in the progress we’ve made while also acknowledging how far we have to go. One troubling sign of the work we have to do can be seen in a wealth gap between black Americans and white Americans that persists and even seems to be widening.

Nice Foundation, Inc. (NFI) has a 5x5 storage unit with pool paint, welcome mats (Christmas theme) and crown molding to donate to schools, home owners, contractors, neighborhood associations, developers, interior designers, and other non-profits.

To be in receipt, send a letter of inquiry requesting items (color and quantity where applicable) to [email protected] and when approved pick up items by 5/26.

This is apart of NFI's Nyce House Beautification Initiative for Maryland, DC, and Virginia.
