You already know how amazing our volunteers are, but did you know our superstar volunteer Brady shows up every single week to spend meaningful time with our youth? 🌱💚

Not only does he help around the house, but he also plans engaging activities and teaches valuable life skills. Recently, that skill was gardening! Together, our youth are learning how to plant, care for, and grow their own vegetables.

We’re excited to continue growing this garden all season long while helping youth build confidence, responsibility, and healthy habits that will last a lifetime. 🪴🥕🍅

We are incredibly grateful for the talented and passionate individuals in our community that serve on our board of directors. Recently we had some new members join and will be highlighting them so you can see their talent and accomplishments. We look forward to what our new members will bring to the organization.

She is a post-secondary educator with extensive subject-matter expertise and significant experience teaching at both undergraduate and master’s levels. Lastly, she is an experienced presenter at local, state, and national levels across a broad range of topics.

We are committed to ensuring young people don’t simply age out of services, but instead receive the ongoing care, guidance, and support they need as they transition into adulthood.

We were thrilled to be recognized by the county historical society alongside so many incredible community institutions last week.

As we celebrate 50 years of changing outcomes for some of the most vulnerable youth in our community, we’ve been reflecting on the impact made over the years and the many supporters, partners, staff, volunteers, and youth who have made this work possible. After nearly 17 years of dedicated service, an incredible chapter comes to a close as Niema begins the next step in her career journey.

Over the years, she has supported countless youth and families, helped strengthen our community, and made a lasting impact through her compassion, advocacy, and commitment to the work. Her contributions to housing youth and uplifting young people will not be forgotten.

We are deeply grateful for everything she has given to our organization and community, and we wish her nothing but success and happiness in this next chapter. 💙

Our Volunteer & Intern Coordinator, Celeste, had the pleasure of attending the Experiential Learning Showcase at University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee this afternoon and witnessing the incredible growth of our intern, Gisele, throughout her semester with us.

It was inspiring to see Gisele present what she has learned during her internship experience and share her goals for the future. We were also grateful for the opportunity to connect with our field liaison and celebrate the power of experiential learning and community partnership.

We are so thankful for all of Gisele’s hard work, compassion, and dedication during her time as an intern — and even more excited that she has chosen to continue her journey with us as a team member! We cannot wait to see all the amazing things ahead for her. 💚
