Before meals are served, there’s a dedicated team behind the scenes preparing fresh food, creating welcoming spaces, and making sure every guest is cared for with dignity and compassion. 🌟 A little seasoning goes a long way! 🌟

We're grateful to Penzeys Spices for their generous donation to The Gathering. Their donated paprika and pepper helped add extra flavor to today's homemade meatloaf, served with care to our guests across Milwaukee.

Every donated ingredient helps us continue providing nutritious, home-cooked meals and creating welcoming spaces where all are invited to gather.

During the 2010s, The Gathering grew into one of Wisconsin’s largest volunteer-run meal programs — serving tens of thousands of meals each year while remaining deeply rooted in dignity, hospitality, and care for every guest served. 💙

What began as a simple mission to nourish neighbors continued growing into a trusted community resource impacting lives across the Milwaukee region. We’re grateful for every volunteer, donor, partner, and guest who has been part of the journey through the years.
