This past weekend Milwaukee Police Department Public Safety Cadets attended the Appleton Competition 2024. MPD Cadets competed against 20 other teams from around the state. They tested their skills in several law enforcement scenarios throughout the one day competition. Milwaukee placed in three categories of the six categories. Congratulations to these young men and women.

Officers from across the city and some neighboring agencies came together to play a game of soccer with students at St. Augustine. Great opportunity for officers and youth to have fun and create connections. The weather was cold, but the Lions were on fire! Maybe next year MPD! 🤞🙏
Thank you to DICK'S Sporting Goods for providing some free giveaways! The kids loved scoring those penalty kicks on Mcgruff at half time. ⚽️

It is so important for our community to see the collaboration, mutual respect and understanding of two key pillars, like our faith-based institutions and law enforcement. We are looking forward to today’s soccer event at St. Augustine Prep! A special thank you to another amazing partner, DICK'S Sporting Goods that donated numerous soccer balls and gift cards for prizes and giveaways! ⚽️🥅

Yesterday, we had an amazing turnout for ! Thank you to everyone that helped and volunteered to make this event informative and engaging. Especially, to the Milwaukee Police Historical Society for providing tours of our training academy.

Public Safety Cadet, Family Day 2023!!!
It was so amazing to see so many family members at the Academy. We had nearly 100 people attend, to include almost 30 cadets. These youth have put in so many volunteer hours at community events over the summer and throughout the year. Today, was a day to show appreciation and thanks to them, and their families for their support. It was also an opportunity to showcase some of the training they receive. A few of our cadets were so brave and spoke to this large room full of people, to tell them about their accomplishments and why they wanted to have leadership roles in the program (sergeant and lieutenant ranks).
So proud of all the youth in this program. Looking forward to next year!
