All are welcome! This Father's Day, Sunday, June 21st, 2026 in collaboration with All People's Church we will be holding a Father's Day Cook Out Luncheon.

Lunch will be served at 12 noon til 12:45 p.m. We'll have giveaways & goodies. All are welcome!

Let us know if you are interested in volunteering on Memorial Day or Labor Day in 2026 & beyond.

Now that I have your attention :)
If SVDP Meal Program was open on Memorial Day or Labor Day, would you volunteer?

If so, what time would you prefer?
10 a.m. - 1 p.m. for lunch service
12 noon - 3 p.m. for early dinner
5:30 - 7:00 p.m. for normal dinner service

We'd likely grill out & try to have a fun event for our guests with music, maybe eat outside?

So let us know if you'd think you'd help out. Thank you!

Please consider donating your time to SVDP Meal Program this Summer. The need is definitely increased in our community for hot nutrious meals & during the Summer (starting the 1st week in May) we have challenges getting enough volunteers daily to assure our guests can come in out of the elements, sit down and relax while enjoying a fresh home cooked meal.

We LOVE our volunteers and APRIL is when we show them off.

Meet Paper although if you have ever been to SVDP Harambee Kitchen, you KNOW Paper. Paper is a volunteer who when his health permits it come EVERY day to help out with....the Dishwashing (he has his own apron!) We take care of Paper like staff because he's volunteered with us for SO long!

We want to take this opportunity to thank Paper for being a VALUABLE (& very loved) part of our team!

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month & we definitely want to take this opportunity to gush on our exceptional volunteers!

Meet Lynn. She has a "Bakery Ministry" that she is so very committed to. A few days a week, Lynn picks up bread & other bakery from stores across Milwaukee. She then delivers the baked goods to non-profits across Milwaukee.

BOTH of SVDP's Meal Program (MP) sites benefit from Lynn's generosity & effort. Lynn does all of this with no financial support from anyone, with todays gas prices this is definitely a labor of love.

Thank you Lynn for all you do!!
