The Milwaukee County House of Corrections is under jurisdiction of the Milwaukee County Executive, not the Milwaukee County Sherrif.
The HOC Is an independent county department under the authority of a superintendent appointed by the County Executive and County Board.

The House of Corrections still calls ICE when they hold individuals on ICE detainers.

TWO THINGS YOU CAN DO:

UPDATE: ANGEL IS OUT AND HOME SAFE!

One of our friends from El Pueblo has been picked up and arrested, likely for a curfew violation. This is the story from a witness:

“The feds sped up to us we were walking in Milwaukee county to a friend’s house. The feds car intercepted us in the alley way nearly running us over! I had to run and jump two fences while my comrades were detained and hid in a backyard. A 65 year old woman tried to stop them from arresting four girls that were walking with us. They arrested her and twisted her arm, I could her scream that they were hurting her. Her husband tried to intervene and it sounded like he was arrested as well. I was laying down in a back yard two houses down, when I heard the commotion I ran to someone’s yard. This nice lady greeted me and I asked if I could hide in her house from these fascists.”

West Allis and Wauwatosa are lying and saying they can’t give info on arrested protestors. This is blatantly false. So we should flood their phone lines until we get the info we need. Please call other departments in the Milwaukee area. St.Francis, Brookfield, Waukesha, Menominee Falls, Mequon, wherever you can think of. We need to find him.

Our mission is to creatively ignite community based change to build a more socially just future.

1. We believe in justice for those who struggle against systemic oppression of class, gender, race, ethnicity, legal status, sexuality and ability. We stand with the working class, undocumented folx, those of oppressed ethnicities, nations and races, for women's liberation and q***r liberation.

2. We understand that systemic struggles are rooted in class inequality which persists under capitalism. We view labor unions as allies in the struggle for liberation from all oppression.

3. We recognize the United States as an imperial state which perpetuates and amplifies global economic inequality as well as injustice against colonized peoples and oppressed nationalities.

4. We recognize anti-blackness and anti-indigeneity as global issues that are pervasive in latinx communities. We stand in solidarity with black and indigenous struggle, and work to combat these injustices in our communities.

5. We are committed to community education with the goal of class consciousness and direct action. Work towards direct action through organization and education are essential in the struggle for liberation.
