Notice System Infrastructure

Improvement Project

09/14/2026

As you may know, there is a water line improvement project currently happening along James River Turnpike. The purpose of this project is to replace the existing fragile lines that have been in the ground for many years and reduce the number of future water outages in that area once the project is completed. However, while the project is in progress, we expect there will be unplanned outages at times. We do realize this is an inconvenience, and for that we sincerely apologize and ask that you please bear with us. We are proud of the improvements being made in our community’s infrastructure and look forward to the projects still to come. Thank you and have a pleasant day.

NOTICE

Precautionary Boil Water Advisory

09/09/2026

Due to a main water break on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Customers on James River Turnpike, Rock Camp Road, and Georgia Ave who experienced a water outage or low pressure should be aware that a precautionary boil water advisory will remain in effect for 48 hours after water service is restored. Bring water used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, or preparing food to a full boil for at least one minute, then allow it to cool before using it. After the system recovers, we will collect water samples, which require at least 24 hours of analysis. We will send another message when the advisory is lifted. If your water is discolored, run the cold water until it clears, then call our office so we can note your account for a discolored water adjustment. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have questions, please call 304-743-3422 during regular business hours.
