As we look forward to celebrating America's 250th anniversary, the Milton Department of Public Works (DPW) organized a special tribute by planting a new elm tree at Town Hall this morning.

The planting is inspired by the tradition of the Liberty Trees that became symbols of freedom and community during the American Revolution. Gatherings at Boston's famed Liberty Tree played an important role in the movement for American independence, providing a place where patriots met, shared news, and organized resistance to British rule. As it grows, we hope this tree serves as a reminder of our shared history and the generations who have worked to build and strengthen our community.

Thank you to Milton DPW for bringing this tribute to life.
