🚧 Road Closure Notice – Merchant Row 🚧

Merchant Row will be closed, weather permitting, beginning at 2:00 a.m. Monday, June 15 through 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16 so crews can complete road line painting.

Please see below for information regarding road closure on High Street (between John Paul Road and Hilltop Drive) on Sunday, June 14, at 7:30 a.m. The road should reopen around 9:00 a.m.

The Milton Youth Tri is coming up on Sunday!

To make sure the athletes can safely transition from the Milton High School parking lot to Schilberg Park and back, High St. will be CLOSED from John Paul to Hilltop starting at 7:30. The road will remain closed until approximately 9:00, or when the last athlete finishes the bike portion.

Please follow the posted detour.

PLEASE DO NOT move or drive around the barricades. A police officer will be stationed at the John Paul/High St. closure.

Thanks for your patience with this closure. Athlete safety is our #1 priority!

2026 Open Book & Board of Review Information

Open Book will be held on Tuesday, June 30 and Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Hours both days are:
• 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
• 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Appointments are recommended. To reserve a specific time, please email [email protected] or call (262) 253-1142. Email is preferred.

Open Book is an annual opportunity for property owners to discuss their assessment with the City Assessor, Spencer Frame. Property owners may schedule an appointment to discuss their assessment in person or by phone, even if their assessment did not change from 2025.

The Board of Review will meet on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 5:00 – 7: 00p.m. The deadline to submit a letter of intent to file an objection is Monday, August 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

🚧 TID No. 7 Street & Utility Improvements Update – City of Milton 🚧

Asphalt surface installation is now scheduled to begin on Wednesday. Restoration work and pavement sealcoating are planned to take place later next week, with pavement marking expected to follow the week after.

Merchant Row remains closed to through traffic during construction, but businesses in the area remain open. A portion of Vernal Avenue between Merchant Row and First Lane may also continue to be impacted as work progresses.

We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding during construction and will continue to share updates as the project moves forward.

Gravestone Preservation Workshop

Join us for a hands-on workshop focused on cleaning historic gravestones. Participants will learn proper techniques for preserving these important markers while helping care for a meaningful part of our community’s heritage.

Planning to attend? Here are a few reminders:

•Wear old clothes you don’t mind getting dirty; closed-toe shoes are recommended.
•Water bottles will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.
•Sunscreen and bug spray are recommended.
•A stool or kneeling pad may be helpful while working.
•No restroom is available on site, so please plan accordingly.
•All volunteers must complete a waiver form.

Come ready to roll up your sleeves and help preserve a piece of our shared history!

⚠️New Traffic Pattern Begins Tomorrow, June 2 ⚠️

Beginning tomorrow, June 2, 2026, Serns Road will be permanently closed between Sunset Drive and North John Paul Road as part of the Sunset Drive extension project.

Traffic should use Sunset Drive to access North John Paul Road, Serns Road, and Lukas Lane.

Please use caution when traveling in the area and follow all posted traffic control signs.
