Several community members have asked about the rules and regulations around scooters, e-bikes, and other similar devices. MPD is sharing this fact sheet from PennDOT regarding the rules and regulations for different types of mobility devices to clear up any confusion and to hopefully answer some questions. The Milton Police Department is attempting to identify the male in the posted pictures for repeated trespass issues on private property. The male was observed on private posted property numerous times from April to June. MPD is seeking any information to assist in identifying the suspect male. If anyone has information related to the suspect, please call MPD at (570)742-8757.

As a reminder to the public, crossing and/or entering private posted property without expressed permission of the owner or a representative of the property is a crime in violation of section 3503 of Title 18 PA Crimes Code.

On Tuesday, 05/26/2026 the Milton Police Department will again be conducting police training at the old pool building in Brown Ave Park from approximately 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. A heavy police presence is to be expected. Residents and park visitors are asked to avoid this area of the park during that time.

The Milton Police Department is attempting to identify suspects for an investigation pertaining to placing a Skimming device on a payment terminal within the Borough of Milton. The suspects placed a Skimming device on a terminal/point of purchase on 2/7/26 and returned on 2/14/26 to retrieve data from the terminal. The device was located on 2/16/26 by management and turned over to police. The suspects returned on 2/21/26 at around 1407 hours in attempt to obtain more information. Police were notified, but the suspects fled on foot and were not located.

The suspects utilized a gray Ford Explorer with an unknown tag during the commission of the crime.

Fraudulent purchases were made on EBT accounts that utilized the terminal during the time of the incident. Anyone with information or a suspicious purchase on an account originating within the Borough please notify Milton Police Department at 570-742-8757 or 570-742-8771.
