04/06/2026

After many years of planning and coordination, the Route 7 Hourglass Project will be moving forward this construction season, with a projected completion date of July 2027.

This project is intended to improve safety, traffic flow, and overall functionality through this busy corridor. As work begins to ramp up over the coming days and weeks, residents will start to see increased activity in the area. We ask that everyone use caution when traveling through the project zone, be mindful of construction crews, and watch for changing traffic patterns as different phases of work get underway.

Contact VTrans with questions on this project. They will provide a sign-up link for email updates so residents can stay informed about progress and upcoming work. As soon as that link is available, we will share it through the Town’s website and social media channels. We will also do our best to provide advance notice of any traffic pattern changes associated with the project.

You can check back periodically for updates on this and other projects affecting Milton traffic at https://miltonvt.gov/m/NewsFlash/home/detail/261

Thank you for your patience as this long-anticipated project gets underway

The Economic Development Commission (EDC) is seeking businesses or organizations that would be interested in hosting an upcoming Social Event / EDC Business Meeting.

The EDC hosts semi-annual social events designed to bring the business community together. These socials offer a great way for EDC members (as well as other guests from Milton and surrounding communities) to get to know a local business – and for local businesses to learn about the EDC. We promote these events widely as open to the public, and they have a strong networking focus.

Past hosts have included Maquam Barn and Winery (event pictured), Green Mountain Animal, Arrowhead Lodge, Vermont SportsCar and more.

An event begin with a regular, abbreviated EDC business meeting. That is usually followed by a focus on the host, who has the opportunity to introduce their business and provide a tour. There are usually between 20-40 attendees, which include EDC members and other members of the community.

Interested in opening your business or organization's doors to the EDC and others from the community? Complete and submit the form at this link:
