MFRFD and MFEMS staff and volunteers responded to a large haystack fire in Umapine tonight. 15 responders and 9 apparatus on site.

The Milton Freewater EMS and Rural Fire Department staff and volunteers have been so busy. We have responded to 352 fire and ambulance calls since January.

We'd like to thank the Wildhorse Foundation for their grant to provide new communications equipment to the Milton Freewater Area Ambulance Health District. The narrow-band radios and other necessary equipment are very much appreciated by all staff and volunteers whom respond to our areas emergencies.

Special thanks to the Blue Mountain Community Foundation and their support of the Milton Freewater Ambulance Area Health District and the MFEMS...our Paramedics and EMT's were protected against the elements this winter in these new coats that were granted to us.

Words can not describe how pleased we are with our Paramedics, EMT's and Volunteer EMT's. We got a call today from a patient whom wanted to buy all of those whom responded to his call dinner to thank them for the superior level of care they provided. So proud of our top notch crew.
