Yes — we are aware of the hydrants in town that currently have water running from them. This is normal and part of the scheduled maintenance being done on the Milroy water tower this week.

There is no emergency and nothing for residents to worry about.

🔥 Live Burn Training Day! 🔥
Today we had the opportunity to run a full live‑fire training burn — something that doesn’t come around often, and when it does, it’s invaluable for our crew.

Huge thank‑you to Nate and Mary for opening your home to us. We appreciate it more than you know… and we promise to leave things in better shape next time 😉

A big shoutout to North Star Training & Consulting for working Search and Rescue alongside the live burn. Your partnership makes days like this possible.

Thank you as well to our mutual‑aid partners, Lucan, MN Fire Dept, for joining us and putting in the work.

And last but definitely not least — the Milroy FD crew who stepped away from planting and everything else going on this time of year to train. That commitment matters.

Last night we took delivery of our brand‑new SCBAs!

These air packs replace units that have served our department for more than 20 years. This upgrade gives our firefighters safer, more reliable equipment as we continue responding to calls and protecting our community.

Big step forward for our department and the people we serve.

This past Tuesday has been a long time coming for your Milroy Fire Department. We were able to purchase 4 brand new radios. These radios will be the start of us phasing out our 20 year old radios we currently use.

This was made possible by ALL OF YOU! Your attendance at our supper feeds, buying raffle tickets, and letter donations helped 100% fund this project! Without your support this and other improvements would not be possible!

Fire Prevention starts this Sunday! We will kick off with Operation EDITH tomorrow night at 7pm. Turn on your porch light to show us you and your family have an exit plan! We will have fire trucks out with lights and sirens on counting the lights!
