2026 Milroy Playground Program – As summer is coming to an end, we would like to thank everyone that attended our program. With a special thank you going out to Jenn and Emily Runkle (Milroy Playground Supervisors) for another successful year! Armagh Township’s 2026 Liberty Tree
A little history, in 1976 each municipality in Mifflin County was presented an oak tree as referred to as “Liberty Trees” to celebrate the Bicentennial Birthday Celebration of America. This year, Vice-Chairman Tomlinson attended the Semi-Quincentennial 250th Birthday of America Celebration Event at the Allensville Fireman’s Festival proudly accepted the tree of honor on behalf of the Armagh Township Board of Supervisors. Below are additional pictures of the event, tree arrival, and planting. The tree is located at the Township property at 283 Broad Street, Milroy for everyone to enjoy. The Bicentennial Event in Allensville was organized by Steven Dunkle, the trees were handed out with honor to each municipality by the Mifflin County Commissioners Kevin Kodish and Noah Wise. The trees were donated by Metzler Forrest Products, Reedsville. Our tree was planted by the Armagh Township Road/Maintenance Employees. Enjoy!
