Residents and motorists will experience minimal traffic impacts, with occasional lane merges and short-term construction near the median. Traffic control is implemented within the Caltrans right-of-way between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. only.

The fourth Neighborhood Clean-Up Event of 2026 will be on July 11th at Thomas Russell
Middle School! Milpitas Residents can sign-up to dispose of large, bulky items for
FREE.

These clean-up events occur from spring through fall. Registration is required, and each
household is limited to one truckload (up to 3 cubic yards) per event, with participation
in only one event per year.

Congratulations to the City of Milpitas’ Public Information Office on being honored with a Certificate of Excellence by the California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) EPIC Awards Program.

Selected from more than 500 entries statewide, this recognition celebrates outstanding public sector communications. We're especially proud that the award-winning Instagram launch campaign was developed entirely in-house, with valuable contributions from our talented communications interns. The campaign helped successfully launch the City's Instagram presence, growing the account to more than 4,000+ followers within six months, a strong indicator of sustained organic interest, community engagement, and continued buy-in for a newly established City channel.
