PROMOTION ANNOUNCEMENT!
Congratulations to Assistant Chief Dave Barnett!!! Chief Barnett came to us in 2022 as a Captain going on deployments for Cal OES having retired after 25 years from San Jose Fire Department as a Battalion Chief for Battalion 13. His knowledge and guidance has been extremely helpful to our department. With this promotion he will oversee our Administrative and Strategic Planning Division. Thank you Chief Barnett for continuing to serve the community with us at SPV and congratulations!

Congratulations to 8 firefighters!!! Josh Balogh, Nick Perlaky, Nicolette Roper, Simran Kaur, Adam Herbel, Pha Nguyen, Pamela Bianchi, And Jesse Hackleman who have completed their time as Probationary Firefighters. By meeting their required 1 year with the department and are on good standing with the department and its requirements they have earned the title of Firefighters. They were awarded with their badges and helmet shields. Keep up the hard work and congratulations again!

n Tuesday 06/17/2025 SPV Fire responded to a Mutual Aid request made by San Jose Fire Department for a Wildland fire that was burning at a high rate of speed.

Working along sideCAL FIRE SCUu andSan Jose Fire Fighterss our hard working Firefighter were able stop the progression and contain it at 92.4 acres.

We are proud of our team!! Here are some photos of there hard at work. You’ll see the Chiefs in white helmets still love being at the end of the nozzle!
