From Ryan Stuckey for State Representative

“I didn’t just complain about overdevelopment in Sussex County. I rewrote municipal law to actually stop it. 🛑

That’s why I’m incredibly proud to have the support of the Save Our Sussex PAC.

Every day at my coffee shop Kisa Café on Main Street, I watch our explosive growth firsthand: the traffic, the clear-cutting, and neighbors wondering how much more our roads and schools can take.

When I joined Planning & Zoning to make a difference, I was frustrated that we didn’t have the tools to push back against developers - so I built them. I rewrote 3 chapters of our town code to control development and preserve our farms and forests, petitioned our Town Council, and saw them passed Unanimously into law.

With the backing of the Save Our Sussex PAC, Delaware Sierra Club, and others, I’m ready to take that fight to the next level in Dover.

There's still time to stop the key from turning. Let's protect our home.”

Sussex County is home. Let’s keep it a place where our families can thrive.

Meet Ryan Stuckey, a Sussex County native, small business owner, and an independent-minded voice running for Delaware House District 41.

As a Main Street coffee shop owner and member of Dagsboro’s Planning Commission, Ryan sees the pressures of growth firsthand. His focus: infrastructure before development, support for our schools and first responders, and protecting the woods and open spaces that make Sussex County special.

Ryan wants to bring a small business owner’s problem-solving mindset and Main Street common sense to Dover.

Get to know Ryan. Compare the records. And vote for Ryan Stuckey for Delaware House District 41.

Let’s go Ryan! The blue wave is coming to 🌊 Ryan Stuckey for State Representative

RD41 is the local Democratic Party organization for residents in Millsboro, Dagsboro, Frankford, Gumboro and part of Selbyville, Delaware.

With all the conversation over the last 24 hours, one thing is crystal clear: the people of the 41st District want a real conversation about the issues that actually affect our lives. Overbuilding, traffic, accountability.

That’s why I’m looking forward to our candidate forum hosted by the League of Women Voters on October 15th.

When candidate Atkins insisted on a special rule demanding that no online questions be accepted - making ours the only candidate forum in the entire county with that restriction - I agreed without hesitation. If limiting questions to only in-person attendees is what it takes to get him on stage, fine by me. I'm not afraid to answer questions from anyone.

The voters of Sussex County deserve to look both of us in the eye, in an open forum, face-to-face.
I accommodated the demands. See you all on October 15th!

From Ryan Stuckey, candidate for State Representative: Ryan Stuckey for State Representative
“Sussex County is at the tipping point. We're out of TIME to let the establishment recycle a career politician back into this position. We've given them years, and what do we have to show for it? Our woods and fields paved over for houses we can't afford - rising energy bills - endless traffic - doctors we can't even see.
Their political machine doesn't work for us. Lets unplug it.
Thank you to Save Our Sussex PAC for endorsing my run and being part of the fight. People are waking up to the scam.”

Ryan Stuckey remains an Independent at heart even though he recently changed parties in his bid for House District 41. Ryan is a Sussex County native who owns Kisa Cafe in Dagsboro. Ryan already is active in his community, serving on the Dagsboro Planning Commission. He's more than familiar with the growing pains of his district. Ryan has more than enough qualifications, a platform and passion for the job, and we're a fan of his spicy Facebook videos.
But Ryan's candidacy takes on additional importance when we consider his opponent, John Atkins. You can do your own internet research but Atkins has been accused multiple times of violence against women, he's pleaded guilty to abuse and offensive touching charges. Atkins previously served as District 41 representative and resigned in disgrace in 2007 for using his legislative ID to avoid a possible DUI arrest. Atkins changed parties and was re-elected as a Democrat in 2008. Rich Collins defeated him in 2014. Now, Rich is retiring from the office and its an open seat. Vote for Ryan. It's important.

Affordability is not a hoax—and it isn’t an abstract political talking point.

It’s the cost of groceries, rent, healthcare, child care, prescriptions, utilities, and filling the gas tank. When those everyday expenses keep rising, working families and retirees feel the strain first.

This ad from the 14th and 20th Representative District Democratic Committees appeared in the Cape Gazette’s digital edition yesterday. We’re proud to support Democratic candidates who understand the pressures facing Delawareans and are committed to making our state a place everyone can afford to call home.

🗳️ Early voting begins October 22.
🗳️ Election Day is November 3.
