Just a reminder, even though we received much needed rain yesterday, a burn ban still remains in affect for Parker County, even with the rain, fire conditions remain moderate today and tomorrow and return to high on Sunday. No burning allowed.

Tomorrow September 6, 2026 is the Millsap Homecoming parade at 6pm. The route starts on E Colorado St. to FM 113( N. Plum St.), to Bulldog Blvd to the baseball field parking lot. Parade will begin at 6pm. FM 113 will be closed for approximately 30-45 minutes between Fm 113 @ East and West Colorado St. and at FM 113 @ Bulldog Blvd. Please seek alternate route during this time or bring your patience. Alternate route coming from the North can use Young Rd. detour just like during the construction shut down through Millsap. If coming from the south can use the same detour or use Fm 3028 to Wilson Bend Rd. to get around the parade. Parade route is pictured below

Per TxDot Chief Inspector, FM113 in Millsap at the RR tracks is open, still use caution as it is still an active construction zone.

Western half of Parker County is experiencing smoke conditions from the Ross fire due to a shift of the wind coming from the NW and the cool front approaching. Use caution outside especially with those who have health issues.

Tomorrow morning at 7 am FM 113 at the railroad crossing will be closed for road construction. This closing will be in effect until approximately mid September. If this is part of your commute please take a different route.
