The Katahdin Chamber of Commerce's Annual Meeting on June 10th "packed the house" at Mt Chase Lodge. Our hosts, Michael and Lindsay Hill Downing, provided a beautiful venue for the occasion and prepared delicious food.

The membership elected officers and directors for the coming year, and celebrated the following Chamber award winners:
* Organization of the Year - Outdoor Sport Institute
* Business of the Year - Eastmill Federal Credit Union
* Municipality on the Move - Town of Island Falls
* Chamber Champion - Deb Rountree, Katahdin Higher Education Center

The evening finale featured Mike Smith, Jutta Beyer, and Lindsay Hill Downing who addressed the gathering with meaningful and personal accounts of their involvement with non-motorized trail development in the Katahdin region.
