🌪️ Tornado Preparedness: Stay Safe and Informed

Tornadoes are among nature's most violent storms, capable of causing significant destruction with little warning. Being prepared and knowing how to react can save lives.

01/24/2026

Due to weather conditions, the Base CO has decided to keep the base closed on Monday for normal operations.

For Millington personnel, Monday will be an Admin leave day for our civilians and special liberty for our military. We will assess conditions in Norfolk and make an appropriate determination on Sunday. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Stay warm and stay safe!

Good Day!
BLUF: There are significant changes coming to 2026 Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) and Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP). Several health and dental plans will leave FEHB and FEDVIP at the end of 2025. Employees currently enrolled in these plans must select a new plan during Open Season.
Those who fail to elect a new plan for 2026 will be automatically enrolled in the plan option designated by OPM, the GEHA Benefit Plan-High Option. Other plan changes may also affect your 2026 enrollment or coverage. Please take some time to see if you are enrolled in one of these impacted health plans and review available options carefully during Open Season!
The 2025 Federal Benefits Open Season is from November 10, 2025, to December 8, 2025. Open Season will commence as scheduled despite the current lapse in appropriations Furloughed employees are permitted to complete or submit FEHB changes during a government shutdown, as this activity is considered an excepted function.
Upcoming Changes (some of these changes will require action on your part)
At the end of plan year 2025, one dental plan is leaving FEDVIP – HealthPartners Dental. Several plans will be leaving the FEHB Program and/or reducing service areas, as well as other plan changes. The specifics with actions required are outlined in BAL 25-401 (Attachment 1) and the related attachments at references (2) through (4). (All attachments are posted as photos)
