Flexible thinking includes being open to different ideas, perspectives, and outcomes, which helps individuals cope better with situations. Whereas, rigid thinking is intolerant, non-accommodating, and restrictive, and typically increases one’s stress levels. The overall aim is to be aware of and lessen the power of negative thoughts and their influence on your behavior. Non-judgment and curiosity are also very important when trying to change rigid thoughts.
