Well, after a long day yesterday, I had a speaking engagement in South County this morning, so I stopped by the office, and this is what I was met with. I really do have a great staff!

In 2008, I was 19 years old and looking for a job so I could buy my first car and begin my adult life. That summer, I was offered a temporary position at the Register of Wills office. What started as a temporary job became a lifelong career and a calling.

Last night, nearly 18 years of hard work, dedication, and service came full circle. I am incredibly proud of this victory, but even more proud of the people who helped make it possible.

To the elected officials who believed in me from day one, thank you. To the candidates I had the privilege of campaigning alongside and now proudly call friends, thank you. To every volunteer who knocked doors, made calls, sent texts, put up signs, and shared words of encouragement, thank you.

To my friends and family, especially my children, thank you for your unwavering love and support throughout this journey. Your sacrifices made this possible.

To my Chief Deputy, supervisors, and the entire Register of Wills staff, this victory belongs to you as much as it belongs to me. I am fortunate to work alongside a team that shows up every day committed to serving the people of Anne Arundel County with professionalism, compassion, and integrity. We have always believed in working together to get the job done, and this campaign was no different. It was the very definition of teamwork.

I also want to thank my opponent, Courtney Buiniskis, for her hard work and commitment throughout this race. Running a countywide campaign is no easy task, especially in a courthouse election, and I appreciate her willingness to step forward and participate in the democratic process.

Last night, I was humbled by the trust that the voters of Anne Arundel County have placed in me. This election was never about politics for me, it was about service. It was about protecting an office that serves families during some of the most difficult moments in their lives. I look forward to continuing the work we've started, strengthening our office, continuing outreach, and ensuring every resident receives the compassionate service they deserve.

The campaign continues, but my commitment remains the same: to serve the people of Anne Arundel County with integrity, compassion, and professionalism. Thank you, and I'll see you on the campaign trail as we head to November.

In less than an hour, the polls will close and this primary season will be over.

And no matter what happens tonight, I’m proud. Proud of the race I ran. Proud of who I showed up as. Proud that I gave this everything I had.

The last 24 hours have poured into me in the form of love, from family, friends, and even strangers, and I am so grateful for every single moment of this journey. 💙

Let’s keep true knowledge, compassion, and integrity in the Register of Wills office.
This is not a stepping stone for me, it’s been my life’s work for nearly 20 years. I’ve dedicated my career to serving the families of Anne Arundel County with experience, care, and professionalism.

Anne Arundel County, let’s not make the same mistake we made four years ago. Let’s keep true EXPERIENCE in this office.

I would be truly honored to have your vote for Register of Wills. 🗳️💙

Let's talk about community outreach.

There's been a misconception that I stopped the outreach efforts of my predecessor. The truth is, I didn't.

When I was appointed, I honored every speaking engagement that had already been scheduled, and since then, I've continued accepting invitations to educate our community about wills, probate, and the services our office provides.

Community outreach has always been part of the Register of Wills' mission, not just in Anne Arundel County, but in Register of Wills offices across Maryland.

Serving our community doesn't stop at the office door. It means showing up, answering questions accurately, and making sure residents have the information they need. That's exactly what I've done since my appointment, and it's exactly what I'll continue to do.

The Anne Arundel County Register of Wills is proud to connect with our community through speaking engagements across the county.

If your community group, civic organization, school, senior center, church, or event is interested in learning more about the Register of Wills Office, we would be happy to speak with you.

To schedule the Register for a speaking engagement, please contact our office at 410-222-1430 or [email protected].
