Once upon a time, I noticed a pattern.
Every time I chose to take my purpose seriously—every time I said yes to God at a deeper level—the enemy would come in full attack mode. Not just against me, but against my child. The warfare felt relentless, strategic, and deeply personal.
There were moments I retreated—not because I lacked faith, but because the battle felt too heavy to carry alone. Fear whispered, “Is this worth the cost?” And for a season, survival felt safer than obedience. Silence felt easier than standing boldly.
But what I didn’t realize then was this:
The intensity of the warfare was proof of the value of the assignment.
The enemy doesn’t fight what isn’t a threat. He doesn’t resist what carries no oil. And he doesn’t target purpose unless heaven has already marked it for impact.
Now I understand—I was never being attacked because I was weak.
I was being attacked because I was dangerous.
Today, I no longer retreat. I rise.
I proclaim without shame.
I cover my child in prayer and authority.
I stand flat-footed in my calling, knowing that God’s protection is greater than any opposition.
This is why I speak.
This is why I write.
This is why I make Unashamed Proclamations.
Because purpose is worth the fight—and silence is no longer an option.
