Code Purple for Friday, July 17, 2026.

DEP has put the entire Commonwealth in the Code Purple air quality alert and is in effect for Friday, July 17th as well. A recent reading in Millersburg Boro already is just above 300. We recommend folks stay indoors if possible, use A/C, close doors and windows and use an N95 mask if going outdoors for any length of time if you are susceptible or sensitive (COPD patients or other people who have respiratory issues.)

We were honored to be a part of the funeral service for Chief 20-A Jeff Lenker today. Tower 20 and Tower 22 created the flag arch for Jeff’s final ride to pass under. Chief Lenker will be greatly missed in Upper Dauphin County!
