Hazmat Training Exercise Notice – LEPC HazMat Exercise

The Holmes County EMA and the Holmes County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) will be conducting a Hazardous Materials Exercise on Saturday, April 18th starting at 9:15 AM at Centor in Berlin, OH.

This is only an exercise. There is no real emergency.

During this time, you may see multiple first responder vehicles in the area, including fire and EMS agencies actively participating in the training.

A huge thank you to our partners for their support and participation:
• East Holmes Fire & EMS
• Holmes Fire District #1 FD
• Paint Township Fire Department (Winesburg)
• Pomerene Hospital
• Holmes County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center
• Bad Day Training for facilitating the event

Also, a HUGE thank you to Centor for allowing us to use their facility for this important training.

Exercises like this are critical to ensuring our responders are prepared to safely and effectively handle real-world hazardous materials incidents.

Again, this is just an exercise. There is no danger to the public.

**Update - S. Washington Street is open.**

S. Washington Street from CR 58 to south of Walmart is flooded and will be closed until further notice. Please do not attempt to drive through the high water.

If the traffic light is out, the intersection becomes a 4 way stop!

Due to the predicted snow Saturday night January 24, 2026 through Monday January 26, 2026 the Village of Millersburg will be placing a parking ban starting Saturday night at 12:00 am midnight until Monday at 12:00 pm noon for the following streets.

Jackson Street from School Street to Grant Street.

Clay Street

Washington Street from Clinton Street to Adams Street



Any changes or updates will be posted on our page and The Village of Millersburg page and sent out to the local news media.

Good luck to the West Holmes Girls Cross Country Team. You can expect traffic delays as the team is escorted through town to the elementary school and then to the south end of town by local first responders.

The Girls Cross Country State send off on Friday, October 31st is as follows:
8:35 am Middle School
9:10 am Lakeville Elementary
9:25 am Nashville Elementary
9:45 am Millersburg Elementary
10:10 am Killbuck Elementary

Jackson Street, from School St to Mad Anthony St -Thursday night, October 2nd through Sunday night, October 5th
East Jackson Street Parking Lot- Thursday night, October 2nd through Sunday night, October 5th
Chamber Lot & Commercial & Savings Bank Lot North Clay Street-Friday night, October 3rd through Saturday afternoon, October 4th
Courthouse Parking Lot - Friday night, October 3rd after 4:30 pm through Sunday night, October 5th
Street Closures -
Court Street - Friday night, October 3rd through Sunday night, October 5th
North & South Monroe Street - Thursday night, October 2nd through Monday night, October 6th
Restricted Traffic for the parades -
Jackson Street, Clay Street, and Washington Streets.
Saturday 4th 4:15 pm until the majority of the traffic clears.
Sunday 5th 1:45 pm until the majority of the traffic clears.
