For a small comunity, this is a pretty huge event! Last night we along with our comunity had a push in ceremony for two new trucks!
First one is a "new to us" it is a 2000 E1 95' platform ladder with extremely low miles, this is the first ladder that Clinton township has ever owned. We purchased that truck from Turkey creek fire territory.
Second was a truck that we started the process 5 years ago to order from MacQueen manufacturing. It is a 2026 Pierce Enforcer. This truck from start to finish was specked out by a group of our front line firefighters. They thought of everything for this truck, after it was built we had it taken to Fire Manufacturing Incorporated in Ohio to have tools installed in an orderly and secure way. This truck will serve our comunity for 20 plus years.
There's so many to thank for our open house last night and first is the guys on our department. They put in a LOT of hours and hard work to make last night happen. Thank you to Benton township for coming over and running our calls for us so we could all stay at our event. Thank you to Middlebury fire department for bringing an ambulance for standby incase we needed you (honorable mention Aaron Lehman). Last but definitely not least thank you to Dave Polkow from MacQueen for being such an awesome "fire apparatus consultant"😅 you made the process fun and greatly memorable. Thank you for joining us last night!
We also gave some well deserved life saving awards for a call we had back in March where our patient was found unconscious and in cardiac arrest. Our firefighters along with a member of the public successfully performed CPR and the patient survived!
