Tonight, members conducted training at one of our water point locations, utilizing a dry hydrant installed in a local pond.

As a rural fire department, we do not have access to town or city fire hydrants throughout our district. Instead, we rely on ponds, streams, and other water sources to supply water for firefighting operations.

Training like this helps ensure our firefighters are prepared to quickly and efficiently establish a water supply when emergencies occur.

We appreciate the property owners who allow us to utilize these water points.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of George Roark.

George was a founding member of our department and dedicated countless years of service to our community. Throughout his lifetime, he served in many roles, including former Chief, first responder, and long-time Board President. His leadership, commitment, and unwavering support helped shape our department into what it is today.

George's impact extended far beyond the walls of the fire department. He was a mentor, a friend, and a servant to this community, always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. His dedication to public service and the lives he touched will never be forgotten.

We are grateful for the legacy he leaves behind and the example he set for generations of firefighters and first responders.

Please keep George's family, friends, and all who knew and loved him in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
