🎶🪑 Digraph Musical Chairs! 🪑🎶
Learning is always more fun with a little music! 🎵 Mrs. Mary Suggs’ second grade students had a blast playing Digraph Musical Chairs while practicing their phonics skills. They worked hard writing digraphs and drawing pictures to match each sound. ✏️🖍️

Mrs. Margo Hadden’s classes used jenga blocks to learn about text structure this week. They started by building a house with their blocks with no instructions. Then a hurricane blew the houses over (cause and effect). Their insurance companies gave them money to rebuild their houses (problem and solution). They had to rebuild their houses following specific steps (sequence). After everyone in the neighborhood had brand new houses, they had to compare and contrast each other’s. At the end, one group wanted to sell their house, so they had to create a description of the house.
