Gail Hollis with her Officer of the Year award on May 21st, 2026. The award was presented in recognition of exceptional service, unwavering dedication, and outstanding contributions to the department and community.

Welcome Home to your Work Family!

The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office is proud to welcome the return of Deputy Sheriff Meagan Pearson. Pearson previously worked with us from 2018 to 2021.
Deputy Pearson is one of two Baldwin County Deputies to be presented with the prestigious Flag award in her mandate class. This flag representing their class session is presented to the most well-rounded candidate in each class.
Deputy Pearson is a well-known athlete and competes in world and national softball events. While previously employed with us, Deputy Pearson was twice awarded the Most Valuable Player designation in two World Softball events. She also served as a community coach with a local team and provided individual training for many young athletes. Several weeks ago, prior to her return, she was the MVP in the Nashville Bash Softball Tournament hosted by USSSA.
We are very excited to have Pearson back in action. We look forward to her contributions to the agency and the community once again.

As National Police Week comes to a close and on Peace Officers Memorial Day, we take time to recognize the service, sacrifice, and dedication of law enforcement officers across our nation.

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is proud to serve and protect the citizens of Baldwin County each and every day. We are especially grateful for our deputies, detention officers, dispatchers, and staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes and on the front lines to keep our community safe.

Law enforcement is more than a profession it is a commitment to serving others, often requiring long hours, missed holidays, and personal sacrifice. Today, we also remember the heroes who gave their lives in the line of duty and honor the legacy they left behind.

Thank you to all of the men and women of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office for your dedication, professionalism, and unwavering service to our community.

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office recently received several request to review the posted speed in the school speed zone on Log Cabin Road. These requests specifically pertain to the reduced speed times in the morning from 7:30-8:30 am and in the afternoon from 2:30-3:30 pm. We have compared the reduced speeds during these times to other reduced speed times in our area. We have made the decision to request that REDSPEED change the enforcement speed during both times from 25 mph to 35 mph. Effective today, January 13, 2026, that request was granted. This morning the Baldwin County Road Department installed signs reflecting the change. The safety of all of our citizens is and remains our priority. Log Cabin Road is a high traffic volume area connecting Jefferson Street to the 441 N corridor. We have had several incidents in which deputies directing school traffic were nearly hit by motorists. We are also conscious of the congestion ofter caused in the area. We felt this change would more align the Log Cabin school zone with the other school zones in our area. We will continue to monitor the school zone and keep the public informed if we feel other changes are needed .
