🚨 CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!!🚨

Central Utah volunteers have exhausted their available resources and are requesting additional support to help staff the Elberta shelter.

If you are available to assist on Wednesday or Thursday, for either a day or an evening shift, your help would be greatly appreciated.

For those who have not yet completed Shelter Fundamentals, a virtual training session will be held tonight from 6:00–7:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity to get qualified and support this response.

At this time, Greater Salt Lake has a strike team prepared; however, they need to remain available in case an event occurs within our own chapter. For that reason, we are reaching out more broadly for volunteers who may be able to deploy.

If you’re able to support, please reach out to Tammy Silva at 702-271-3479 for training information and assignment details.

In early June, neighbors, in collaboration with Salt Lake County, decided it was time to pay attention to the beloved Upper District Mill Creek (also known as the Water Wheel Park), located at 3650 South Wasatch Blvd.

Salt Lake County provided the equipment, allowing over 40 volunteers to spruce up the park by clearing weeds, painting the fencing, and picking up trash.

Thank you to John Melville, who led the effort with Salt Lake County, and all the volunteers!

Is that...a slurry seal? 🦭
It's that time of year when we kick off pavement preservation treatments throughout the city as part of our ongoing efforts to maintain our roadways. We will be adding slurry seal treatments to extend the lifespan of the asphalt pavement, while ensuring the safety and quality of our streets meet our standards. Pavement preservation treatments will start as early as Monday, June 22, and continue throughout the next couple of weeks.
Watch out for any construction notices and be sure not to bother the seals!
