As someone who has grown up and lived on Utah’s beautiful land, keeping it beautiful for us to enjoy today and for our descendants to enjoy tomorrow is one of my top priorities. But our land and environment are at a crossroads, and we need a concrete action plan to save them, not vague concepts of ideas and grandstanding.

We need to save our Great Salt Lake to keep our air and ecosystems alive. We need to pivot to sustainable and clean sources of energy. We need to protect the public lands we have from being misused and taken for granted.

These have been my priorities for Utah’s environment and land since day one. In Washington, I was a tireless fighter for legislation like the Great American Outdoors Act, which helped secure our public lands. And if you send me back to Washington, I’ll continue to be a fighter for our public lands, work with anyone and everyone to save our Great Salt Lake, and keep fighting for a sustainable future.

Throughout my career, I've never been afraid to take on big challenges or fights, as long as it’s the right thing to do for Utahns. From voting to impeach Donald Trump, supporting women’s access to reproductive healthcare, and leading the charge to pass Utah's first LGBTQ equality protections, I've taken some hits in my career, but it’s been worth it each and every time. Utahns know they can count on me to do what's right, no matter the cost.

When I decided to run, I promised my son I would continue to make mountain biking season a top priority. Tonight is the first team ride of the season and I'm reminded that public lands aren't an abstraction. They're where we raise our kids. They're where memories get made. What an honor it was for me to march at Utah Pride today! Our new district is home to a thriving LGBTQ+ community, and it has been my great privilege to advocate for this community in local government, the Utah Legislature, and in Congress.

In the face of escalating attacks, Utah needs a proven fighter for LGBTQ+ rights. If you elect me to Congress, I’ll continue to fight like I always have to ensure our community can continue to make an impact and be on the leading edge of American LGBTQ+ culture and activism.
